Combinations of materials and patterns which create a perfect dualism. A dualism which is always reflected in the armony – contrast relationship present in all creations.

Indian block print cottons, silks, masai shoukas (traditional blankets worn by the masai) in their mix reveal as strongly intriguing and new. Combinations and chromatisms, at times striking, with unique patterns highly distinguishable.

The Masai  live in central and eastern Africa. They are well known for the tradition of jewelry made from colorful beads, amongst those bracelets known as bangili. The beadwork is part of their culture and goes far  beyond being a fashion instrument. The colours they choose  communicate  their social condition and their state of mind.

 

Red for courage , white for peace, purity and health. Blue is energy, orange and yellow hospitality, Green for health and land. Black represents their endurance in life.
Carole Sana has added some of its own creativity , by introducing unusual pattern combinations inspired by geometrics and african textile designs.
